Under the National City Health Programme, 10 moving clinics will be running in the parts of Maharashtra to provide free healthcare facilities to people residing in urban as well as rural areas.
Out of the 10 moving or the rotating clinic, 5 clinics will be running in Mumbai whereas Navi Mumbai, Panvel, Aurangabad, Nanded, Kolhapur, and Nagpur will have one medical unit each.
The motorbike ambulance services are doing quite well, moving hospitals will definitely benefit the tribals, inaccessible and other slum areas of the state. All these services will be completely for free.
Chemotherapy services are being provided free of cost at all the civil hospitals for cancer patients and memory clinics have been started for the mentally ill people to overcome mental illness.
