It has been decided to provide halt to the 3 special trains going towards Konkan on the occasion of Ganesh festival at Diva station for two minutes.
Good news for the people commuting towards Konkan region and the decision has been welcomed by the people travelling towards Kokan on the eve of Ganesh Festival.
Three of the trains left departing from Mumbai are given halt at the Diva station. It will give a sigh of relief for travelers traveling from Diva and nearby areas.
The three trains which are given stop at the Diva station are:
- LTT-Jharap (01039)
- CSMT-Ratnagiri (01033)
The passengers travelling from Diva and nearby areas had aggressively demanded to provide halts at the Diva junction during Ganeshotsav.
On Friday people protested by tying, black bands on the wrist and their protest turned fruitful. Taking note of this, the railway administration has finally shown a green lantern for the Diva halt of 3 trains during Ganesh Festival.
President of Railway Commuters Association, Bhagat welcomed the Railway’s decision of halting 3 trains at the Diva Railway station
Due to this halt, it will be less tiring for the people of Kalyan, Dombivli, Ambernath, Badlapur, Karjat and Kasara.
In addition, the rush of these trains will be reduced at Thane railway station. The passenger’s additional local travel from above areas will also be reduced, which will lessen the traveller’s congestion in the local trains.
