The God’s own land- Kerala which witnessed the worst flood of the century in August, which was completely devastated the state. The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a red alert in the state of Kerala and Tamil Nadu.
Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecasted that the states may receive heavy to very heavy rainfall in most places and extremely heavy rainfall in isolated places.
Heavy to very heavy rain is likely to lash several places across Kerala while heavy rain is also likely to hit areas across Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, and Lakshadweep.
India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted that the formation of a low-pressure area over Southeast Arabian Sea. It is likely to concentrate into a depression & move North-westwards during the subsequent 48 hrs. It is also likely to intensify into a cyclonic storm thereafter. Accordingly, Kerala’s Disaster Management team has been kept on red alert as a precautionary measure.
The sea condition is also expected to be very rough and as a precautionary measure fishermen have been warned not to venture into the deep sea.
