Maharashtra Muslim Sangh has joined hands with Prakash Ambedkar led Bharipa Bahujan Mahasangh for the upcoming 2019 Loksabha and Assembly elections.
Maharashtra Muslim Sangh, a secular party which includes around 40 Muslim NGO’s had earlier summed up with Bjp in the 2014 elections with the list of its demands.
The Muslim Sangh backed the Bjp party in the elections, however, Bjp failed to meet the demands of the Muslim Sangh in the last 4 years which were even included in the Bjp manifesto.
According to News published in TOI, “When we declared our support to Bjp in the 2014 elections, we had given the list of our demands for our community. Some of our demands were even added in the election manifesto of the Bjp. But however Bjp didn’t take us into consideration in the last 4 years.” said Fakir Mohammad Thakur, President, Maharashtra Muslim Sangh.
Thakur even claimed that Bjp got around 14% votes because of the strong campaigning by the Muslim Sangh during the 2014 elections.
“Now we will come up with a joint front with Prakash Ambedkar led Bharipa Bahujan Mahasangh to fulfil our demands,” Thakur said.
