In 2008, the head of the INC Mr. Rahul Gandhi had given a statement that ‘the Congress party would aim for decentralization of power and now it’s important for the decentralization of the Party.’ Due to that, there has been an increase in the trend of holding internal party elections between NSUI and Youth Congress. This was a novel concept and the party would get new leaders. But this concept failed due to the faulty implementation of the idea by the previous leaders of the Party.
Although this idea created a menace, it also gave rise to the good leaders. From that time Rahul Gandhi came under the eyes of opponent parties. They were skeptical about his position in the political arena of this country. In today’s scenario, the propaganda machine is working against the Rahul Gandhi, this wasn’t the case in 2008. Things were reaching to us without any manipulation and biased opinions.
The people who supported this concept were also there and those who opposed /were against as well. Due to them, the Party had to face a huge loss in terms of Goodwill and reputation. Leaving out all the other factors, it went unsaid that Rahul Gandhi would be the successor of INC due to the legacy of the Gandhi family. Those people who were thinking about this legacy either were unaware of the culture of the Congress party or envious of the reputation of the party had gained over the years since the struggle for independence. But the truth is that he has gained this position because of his understanding of the politics and his credibility.
Even in an adverse situation, there were some members of the party who were acting as black sheep of the party but the INC took a bold step to remove the black sheep because they wanted to emphasize more on quality rather than quantity. This was his visionary move and it shall reap fruits in the coming years.
I met Rahul Gandhi for the first time in Hyderabad. On 30th of January 2016, on the occasion of the death anniversary of the father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi sat for a protest against the incident that had happened at Hyderabad University, because of the suicide committed by a student Rohit Vemula. At that time, I was present as a student representative from the state of Maharashtra. Rosi John, the former president of NSUI introduced me to Rahul Gandhi. He asked me my background, my education in a very humble and polite manner. Even being the part of the Gandhi legacy, his humble nature didn’t show any attitude at once.
I like one thing about Rahul Gandhi the most. He accepts his mistakes openly. I like the people who commit mistakes because they are one who makes a difference by learning from their mistakes. History is evidence. The one who claims that he never made any mistake is the one who is very self-centered and egoistic. The day the ego of that person is battered that person is finished. Rahul Gandhi has made many mistakes but has admitted them very honestly and publicly. He’s learning from them and moving forward with determination. He never afraid to face people. While communicating, listening very patiently to his followers is one of the qualities which I admired
When he says, I don’t want to free up anyone from this country; this nation is of everyone, this shows his Indian culture. The occasion was the BJP’s No-confidence Motion against the ruling party by the opposition. On this platform He not only attacked on BJP’s government but, whatever he spoke was gave a sight to his Indianness to the country. He boldly faced and answered his image of ‘Pappu’ propagandized by the BJP. Also, he represented Mahatma Gandhi’s thoughts against devastating thought process, that he has no anger on any person who hated or feel an intense dislike for him. And of course like Sanjay Dutt gives good faith hugs in ‘Munna Bhai MBBS’, he(Rahul) too gave a special ‘Jadu Ki Zappi’ to the Mr. PM. And wrote a new lesson of devotion in a parliament.
Propaganda machines are working sincerely and honestly against Rahul. Rahul is just presenting his love and affection to everyone by not giving a single attention to his defamation by the Big shot machinery and a System propaganda of hatred by the ruling party against him. So here they are lagging their capacities on him.
Goodwill is only that the Congress and by the time Gandhi’s love’s battle should reach its destiny against Untruth, Violence, and Fanaticism.
