The Union Minister, Nitin Gadkari recently stated that Where are the jobs available in our country, so what is the point in giving reservation? and this statement of the minister is widely trolled by Congress saying it as thank you Gadkariji for speaking the truth about employment.
“Let us assume the reservation is given. But there are no jobs. Because in banks, the jobs have shrunk because of IT. The government recruitment is frozen. Where are the jobs?”
-Nitin Gadkari, Union Minister.
On this statement soon Rahul Gandhi and Congress sarcastically thanked Gadkari on Twitter
Excellent question Gadkari Ji.

Gadkari’s such statement on employment and reservation might add fuel to the fire on the current issue prevailing in Maharashtra of the Maratha Reservation.
“Backwardness has become a matter of political interest. Everyone says I am backward. In Bihar and Uttar Pradesh, Brahmins are strong. They dominate politics and they say they are backward. A poor is poor, he has no caste, creed or language. Whatever may be the religion — the Muslim, the Hindu or the Maratha, in every community there is one section which has no clothes to wear, no food to eat, we must consider the poorest of the poor section in every community.” This is a “socio-economic thinking” and it must not be politicised, he added.
Political waves of Gadkari being an opposer of Maratha reservation started blowing in the country and soon he tweeted and clarified that the government is not planning to change the criteria for reservation from “castes to economic conditions.”
My attention has been drawn to certain media reports attributed to me. There is absolutely no thinking at the central government to change the reservation criteria from castes to economic conditions.
